Stabilize Now. Transition with Confidence.

When patients leave structured treatment—whether residential, inpatient, or outpatient—they face a fragile window. Symptoms may be under control, but without immediate follow-up care, progress can stall or unravel. MindHealth MD’s short-term psychiatry services are designed specifically for this transitional phase—offering fast, temporary psychiatric support that fills the gap until long-term care is secured.

We help patients stay steady, safe, and supported while their next chapter comes into focus.

Why Short-Term Psychiatry Exists

Traditional systems often fail to address the “in-between” period after discharge. Referrals are made, but access is delayed. Symptoms resurface. And patients find themselves adrift at the worst possible time.

MindHealth MD was built to fix that. Our short-term psychiatric care model offers immediate stabilization, structured follow-up, and a clear bridge to long-term care—ensuring no patient is left to navigate complex psychiatric needs alone.

What Short-Term Psychiatry Includes
Rapid Intake & Evaluation
Within 48–72 hours of inquiry or referral, patients are matched with a psychiatric provider for a full clinical assessment and treatment plan.
Our providers prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as appropriate to stabilize mood, manage symptoms, and prevent regression or hospitalization.
We continue follow-up visits as needed over several weeks or months—providing consistency while longer-term care arrangements are made.
Once the patient’s situation stabilizes, we work with case managers, treatment teams, or the patient directly to transition care to a trusted long-term provider.
