See the Brain. Treat the Root. Improve the Outcome.

At MindHealth MD, we go beyond symptoms to understand what’s really happening in the brain. Our EEG Brain Mapping & Diagnostics service allows us to observe electrical activity and identify patterns that may be influencing behavior, mood, cognition, and psychiatric symptoms.

This advanced, non-invasive diagnostic tool helps us tailor treatment plans more accurately—especially for patients with treatment-resistant conditions, complex histories, or neurological concerns.

EEG Brain Mapping & Diagnostics

What Is EEG Brain Mapping

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a safe, painless test that records electrical activity in the brain. By placing small sensors on the scalp, we can capture brainwave patterns and analyze how different regions are functioning in real time.

It’s often described as an “EKG for the brain”—offering insight into how the brain communicates, processes, and responds to stimuli. Results can reveal patterns of dysregulation, hyperactivity, or underactivity that may contribute to mental health symptoms.

How It Works
Initial Assessment & EEG Scheduling
After clinical evaluation, our team determines if EEG testing is appropriate. If so, an appointment is scheduled at a time convenient for the patient.
Sensors are placed on the scalp using a comfortable, non-invasive cap. The patient relaxes while resting-state brain activity is recorded in a quiet setting.
Results are interpreted by our clinical team and used to inform diagnoses, treatment planning, and potential adjustments to medications or other interventions.
We use EEG insights to build or refine a customized care strategy—targeting the areas of the brain that need support and avoiding trial-and-error approaches.
Why EEG Testing Matters
In select cases, EEG data can:
Predict medication responsiveness
Detect underlying seizure disorders or neurological issues
Differentiate between psychiatric and neurological root causes
Clarify why previous treatments haven’t worked
Our Approach to Brain-Body Psychiatry

Our Approach to Brain-Body Psychiatry

At MindHealth MD, we believe mental health care must evolve to include the brain’s biology—not just its behavior. EEG mapping is one of the many tools we use to bring science and structure into the treatment process, helping our patients experience more accurate care, faster relief, and greater long-term success.
